Read all instructions before taking impression! Ensure that fingers are completely dry.
First follow instructions using the Practice Tray to learn how to take the impression.
step 2:
CAUTION - Impressions must be taken immediately after opening the sealed pouch!
Open the Dimples pouch, remove the impression tray.
infants to 5 years – use index finger
Hold impression tray so it is open like a clam, with your four fingers under the bottom of the tray, holding it.
With your other hand, direct the child’s index finger over the impression material.
Firmly press the child’s finger into the impression material.
Lift finger straight up and out of the material.
You should see a deep impression. If the impression is very shallow, please refer to the redo instructions. If it is fine follow Step 3
ages 5 to 105 – use 'pinkie' finger
Use the pinkie' finger for the impression.
Place the tray open on a table.
Centre finger over impression material.
Use a thumb to firmly press the finger into the material.
Lift the finger straight up and out of the material. You should see a clear impression. If the impression is too shallow, please refer to the redo instructions. If it is fine follow Step 3.
step 3:
NOTE: If the outside temperature is hovering around freezing or below, leave impression tray open in a safe place to dry out overnight before sealing the lid. If weather is above freezing seal lid after taking impression.
On the enclosed white tray labels, print the inscription to be engraved on the back of each charm. Maximum of 3 lines with 8 characters each. e.g. Jordan 01.25.06
Wrap label around impression tray.
Place impression tray(s) and reply card in the supplied postage-page return envelope and post.
redoing an impression
If you wish to redo an impression you need to do so immediately after you have taken the initial impression.
Place the blue wax disk back on top of the impression, press it firmly down and twist it several times. This should erase the previous impression.
Remove the wax disk and redo finger impression as per instructions.
